We are going to name him….

Owen Chandler
Meaning “well-born or noble, young warrior of the Light”

” ‘And the evening and the morning were the first day.’ Genesis 1:5
The evening was “darkness” and the morning was “light,” and yet the two together are called by the name that is given to the light alone. This will be a most comforting thought to those who ask, “Can I be a child of God while there is darkness in me?”. The answers is Yes; for you, like the day, take not your name from the evening, but from the morning; and you are spoken of in the word of God as if you were even now perfectly holy through Jesus Christ” -O.Chambers
What we pray:
Owen “Well-born, noble” – We pray that as Owen grows, he will take hold of his identity as a son of the most high God. We pray that he will see God as his ultimate Father.
Scripture:
“And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise. (Galatians 3:29 ESV)
Chandler “Candle-maker, Light maker, light bearer” – We pray that Owen will be a light in this world, illuminating the truth and beauty of the One who made him. Chandler is also Joe’s middle name, given to him because it was his mother’s maiden name. Since Joe’s mom is one of three girls and her father past away when she was a young girl, it is in his honor we continue on the Chandler name.
Scripture:
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden”(Matthew 5:14 ESV)
“Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105 ESV)

We are so excited to meet this little guy! He’s been cooking for 23 weeks so far, so over half way there:)
