11:11

My dad called me last night to tell me that while his students were taking a test that morning (He is a Math Prof at College of DuPage) he thought of me. He looked up at the digital clock on the wall and it was 11:11am and it instantly made him think of a when I was in middle school. He was driving me and some of my friends (most likely Linsdey Buchheister and Chris Dennison) home from watching the boys play soccar at the Glen Eyre Indoor Soccar place. (We were probably watching Ben Uvodich, Ryan Verchota, and Mike Lindberg) Any way, we were driving home and the clock in the car turned to 11:11pm and all of us girls lunged to put our fingers on the numbers to make a wish. My dad did not know this game and thought it was hilarious. We explained to him that when the clock turned 11:11 you could touch something red (i.e. the numbers on the clock) and make a wish. I had completly forgotten about that until my dad called me yesterday. Does anyone else know that game? I think it is a universal thing, like when you call “Pidditle” when you see a car with only one head light.

My Cute Little Dears

The little one in the picture to the left is my sweet puppy, Molly, when she was only 2 months old. She is now almost 8 months now! She is a 13 inch, tri-colored Beagle. I love, love, love her! You can kind of see in the picture that her back is mostly black and she has one little white spot – it looks to me as though she got into a bucket of paint! I love it! Being a beagle, she is very curious (like her mama) and also very snuggly (which is like her mama as well).
The other cute guy in the picture is my sweet hubby, Joe. This was taken when we were in Malaysia. We saw this monkey and gave it an apple so it would like us. These two are the loves of my life! They make my life so happy and wonderful. I am very grateful for both of them!

A fabulous baby shower

So my newest neice, Taylor Jade, is almost 2 months old but I just received some of the pictures from the baby shower we threw for Lauren, my sister-in-law. Let me tell you, me and my female cohorts KNOW how to throw a shindig. I’ve posted some pictures from the party. I especially like the one with my mother-in-law, Caron reading a beautiful story she wrote for Lauren. Lauren’s mom is standing next to her crying her eyes out.
